today marks one year since the doors of k & co. salon and spa opened for the first time. in this last trip around the sun krissy has evolved into a full boss bitch. it has been an inspiration to watch someone i love so deeply push through the terrifying early days of small business uncertainty.
our style is an outward expression of our inner spirit. a way of telling the world what we love, how we feel, and even what we believe, without uttering a peep. the way we dress ourselves offers the people we meet very quick, very visual insight into who we are. clothing, makeup and accessories are costumes and armor with which to face the world.
we are told never to judge a book by its cover. instructed to know people before making judgements. for the most part, this advise is sound. for the most part. but i fiercely believe the clothing people choose wear and the way they decorate themselves speaks volumes. where ever i go, i am on the lookout for members of my tribe.

More than a tagline for my website, “living life louder” is a personal mantra. A reminder to stay true to myself. keep the funk alive. fuel the fire which burns under my skin. be more colorful.
