it’s me. your mom.
hunter hagop,
hi hunny. it’s me. your mom. your all day ery’day playmate. your constant companion. your personal jungle gym. your butt wiper. your tear drier. your boo boo kisser. your snack bitch.
you are fifteen months old. fifteen months old! what the actual heck? how did that happen?!
crazier still – your sister will be here soon. in fact she will be here any day now. baba and i are over the moon excited to meet our little girl and to introduce you to the person we hope will become your best friend and forever sidekick as we travel through this life as a family.
when we decided to give you a sibling you were just six months old and every bit a baby.
but now you are a hilarious, energetic little guy.
you have likes and dislikes.
you are not just our baby boy – you are hunter.
you are totally and uniquely YOU.
and now, just as we are truly getting the hang of this neat little people triangle, your sister is about to burst on our scene to shake up everything we know and transform us into a family of four.
i have been pregnant the majority of your life but as the days of waiting for your sister to arrive wind down, i need you to know how much fun i have had in the short time it was just us. the days were sometimes so freaking long and the nights were often even longer, but these last months have been the happiest of my life.
hunter you gave me strength by bringing me to my knees and confidence by trusting me at the dawn of each new day. you have made mama-hood more wonderful and adventurous than i ever dreamed possible. i cannot wait to watch you become a brother.
love you always,
mama
